This morning:
Me: Violet, what's your favorite animal.
Violet: A donkey.... No, no, not a donkey... A hawk-bunny.
Me: A hawk-bunny?
Violet: Yeah. I LOVE hawk-bunnies.
Me: If you had a hawk-bunny, what would you name it?
Violet: Hawkie
Me: What does a hawk-bunny do? Walk? Run? Hop? Fly? Slither?
Violet: [silence]
Me: Violet what does a hawk-bunny do?
Violet: It cries and then it's Mama picks it up and rocks it and sings songs. Then it drinks milk from it's Mama's nipples and then she sings more songs and puts it down to sleep.
